Executive Service Professional Service Appraisal

Executive Career Counselling

Ideal for people who live in the North of England, or who travel regularly on business. This service is best conducted face-to-face, but sessions over the phone can be arranged at your request. Spend a day with one of our Occupational Psychologists and get a thorough assessment of your potential. A minimum of 8 hours will be spent with your Psychologist, we are very flexible on how this time is used. We recommend that you spend 2 half-day sessions with your Psychologist, spaced approximately 2 weeks apart.

After you have booked your telephone appointment, we will ask you to complete some preparatory questionnaires online. These include the Careers Interest Questionnaire, Career Development Questionnaire and Work History Questionnaire. This will enable the consultant to get a vast amount of background knowledge to facilitate discussion during the Career Counselling sessions.

When you arrive, after a cup of tea and introduction to the day, we will ask you to complete some further aptitude tests and a well-known personality questionnaire. These psychometric tests are not passed or failed, they will be used to aid your future decision making. The aptitude tests are designed to stretch you and will be carefully chosen to complement your educational background.

You will receive immediate feedback from your careers advisor, about your results from the Online Questionnaires and Psychometric Tests. This will form the basis of the Career discussion, during this we will cover any particular issues and questions you have regarding your Career situation, initiate Career goal setting and planning. Plenty of  time will be spent enable you to properly market yourself and successfully apply to jobs. You will have the opportunity throughout the day to ask questions about various aspects of Career Counselling.

You will be provided with a detailed report to take home with you after your first appointment- the Career Appraisal Report, incorporating the Development Report, Career Interest Report and previous Career Information. A Career Counselling Report will be sent to you, by email or post, within 24 hours of each visit, with your test results and an in-depth analysis of your day with your Psychologist. You will be encouraged to take notes during your visit.
